Bishop Christopher C. Parker

Bishop Christopher C. Parker was born February 16, 1972 in Norfolk Virginia to Ms. Shirley M. Burton. Bishop Parker was raised and educated in the Chesapeake Public School System and he is the eldest of 4 children.

Immediately after graduating high School in 1990, Bishop Parker joined the United States Army where he honorably served for 18 years until he was medically retired. While in the Army, Bishop Parker served in numerous occupational specialties such as Food Service, Air Defense Artillery, 82nd Airborne Division Advanced Airborne School Instructor, and finally as a Warrant Officer Aviator. 

Bishop Parker holds an Associate of Arts degree from Fayetteville Technical Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Social Work degree from Methodist University in Fayetteville NC and he is currently pursuing a Master of Ministry degree in Pastoral Counseling from Andersonville Theological Seminary. Bishop Parker is a Proud member of Epsilon Rho Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Bishop Parker holds an Honorary Doctorate of Humanity’s degree from St. Thomas Christian College in Jacksonville Florida.

“l shall not die, but live and declare the works of the Lord. The Lord has chastened me sore, but He has not given me over into death.”

On March 22, 2005, Bishop Parker stepped out on faith to plant Abundant Life Ministries in his home with 7 initial members. Bishop Parker is also the presiding Prelate of Abundant Life World-Wide Fellowship of Churches which is an Apostolic Network of Churches and pastors. Under Bishop Parker’s leadership, both have experienced supernatural growth. Bishop Parker has been blissfully married to his high school sweetheart, Prophetess Na-Jean Parker for 26 years. Bishop and Pastor Parker enjoy their 5 beautiful children, Chris Jr. 27, Colbie 21, Chandler 19, and the twins Kaitlyn and Kennedy 15. Bishop Parker accepted his call to preach in 1998 and preached his initial sermon in December 2002 under the Pastoral leadership of Dr. Carl E. Brinkley Jr, at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Fayetteville NC. He was ordained in 2005 by Moderator, Dr. S. Lee Downing and the Union Missionary Baptist Association, Inc. While at Mount Olive, Bishop Parker faithfully served in numerous ministries such as the Armour Bearer ministry, praise team, mass choir, youth layman’s league, youth leader as well as various teaching assignments.

Bishop Parker accepted his call to preach in 1998 and preached his initial sermon in December 2002 under the Pastoral leadership of Dr. Carl E. Brinkley Jr, at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Fayetteville NC. He was ordained in 2005 by Moderator, Dr. S. Lee Downing and the Union Missionary Baptist Association, Inc. While at Mount Olive, Bishop Parker faithfully served in numerous ministries such as the Armor Bearer ministry, praise team, mass choir, youth layman’s league, youth leader as well as various teaching assignments.

In October of 2010 Bishop Parker was consecrated to the office of Bishop by Chief Consecrating Bishop Wayman J. Kirkman Sr, of Hope Fellowship International. Also in 2010, Bishop Parker received his second ordination credential from the International Pentecostal Holiness Church under the leadership of the Late, Presiding Bishop Ronald Carpenter Sr. am text block. Bishop Parker has had the privilege to serve as Assistant Pastor of Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Addor, NC, Under the tutelage of the Late Rev. Dr. Harold Hubbard Sr, and as the interim pastor of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Taylortown, NC.
